It has been 2 days since I started my new job. Attend the SS08 Mens collection briefly yesterday and I can feel that this is a place where I can learn a lot. However, my colleagues are friendly but not very socialize as on they spent 97% of their working hours at their desk in front of their computer... working. No coffee break together.. no chit-chatting... My role is going to be ''Junior Product Developer'' but my senior is currently oversea until next monday so I practically spend whole day NOT doing anything.. It's weird as last 5 months has been extremely busy for me and I was the responsible in production .... But i guess it would be nice to slow down and start learning to work better with method.
I like my new company and I like the products. The only thing that makes me upset is when I found out that they use coyote and raccoon fur... I'm totally against animal's fur.. I left my 1st job because I don't like working with leather and baby calf skins and so imagine now that I have to work with coyote and raccoon fur.... The problem is that big companies like mine... and much more others such as Versace that uses Chinchilla's fur has more power that Eco-friendly or animals welfare associations... I hope there will be a law that make using animal's fur illegal in the near future or I'm going to struggle with the company's politics.. or prehap find a way to convince them.. It's also very sad that ''Eco-friendly'' has became a trend. The''I'M NOT A PLASTIC BAG'' recyclable shopping bag has became so famous not because it has awaken the consumers conscience of being eco-friendly but because it has became a fashion, a trend, which will soon fade in a few months. Loving the nature and the planet shouldn't be a fashion, nor a trend but a habit, a must! Who respect the nature and separate the garbage at home shouldn't be considered eco-friendly but something normal and who doesn't instead should be called nature-minacing or eco-unfriendly. How come everything in this modern world be reversed?!!
There are 2 front page crimes in Italy these days. A british erasmus student is killed in her room after returning from a party. Her American housemate and 2 Africans from Congo are suspects.. Then a lady is killed on her way back from the train station of the province of rome by Rom - gypsy from Romania. She is the wife of the general of marines, if she's the wife of any Italian citizens, this case will have much less attention from the politicians..and if she's the wife of an immigrate, it will not even be placed on the front page. This murder case has caused more prejudice to the Romanians than ever.... I agree with lots of others that immigrators has became a problem in Italy but at the same time I don't think there should be a boycott against Romanians because of this because there had been other murder cases which the murderer is an italian! (Neighbours who killed a mom, granpa and baby because of jealousy, Daughter who killed parents with her boyfriend and lots of husband killed wife cases...) Crimes happens everywhere and the murderer could be from anywhere. And under any circumstances, it has to be treaten equally! The government should think of installing more street lamps, hidden security camaras instead of boycotting Romanians....
What a difficult world we are living in...
