Finally got my new permesso on Tuesday after being at the police station for about 4 hours.. There were at least 400 people and among them, 300 Chinese!!! (As the appointment is arrange according to one's surname, apparently a lot of Chinese surname starts with U,V,W,X,Y & Z.... )They have no sense of civilization and what annoyed others the most is that they pretend not to understanding Italian... ahhhhh!!!
All 400 of us were 'instructed' to stay in a 'huge tend', like those used by refugees.. There was a bad odor but what could you do as there were only a few degree outdoor...At one point a guy ran towards the entrance of the police station, and so everyone else followed, running...We walked out the tend just in time to see a police officer 'hushing' everyone back to where they were, and of course, he was mad.
Everytime we go to the police station, Giuseppe gets mad with those officers, complaint that they were rude and that they treat others like animal.. but I think sometimes this is unavoidable.. working 200 days a year, from 7 - 19 and seeing swarm and swarm of foreigners everyday 'invading' your own country.. It's one thing eating Indian/Egyptian/Russian cusine... and it's a totally another thing to have Indians/Egyptians/Russians community in your country, getting paid for nothing to work at the factory and in consequence, the percentage of unemployed Italian increased... Observating how they behave, I could understand why these officers are always shouting...
Anyway, my expiry date is July 2007. So at the meanwhile, I would have to keep an eye on the quota opening date to convert it to Working permit...
I'm sick again. Read on the newspaper yesterday that right now the symptoms are still nausea, fever and flu but as holiday seasons approach, more and more people is getting a mixed kind of flu called 'Malaysian flu'. Geezzz... finally Malaysia got more well-known here in Italy, not in a good way though...
Tonight, is my last Christmas shopping day... tomorrow gonna have a dinner with some friends and Saturday night I'm going to Germany to visit my brother...
Hope my sickness won't get worse...
